This memorial scholarship fund was established by NAOBI - Atlanta to honor the memory and service of our former President, Shaunta Renee Olson. Renee, as she was affectionately known, served as president from 2008 until her untimely death in 2010. Under Renee’s leadership, strategy planning and vision philosophy, the organization was revitalized after a few of years of dormancy. During this period, the following were accomplished and established:
Eligibility: The candidate must be a Black Sign Language Interpreting student or any d/Deaf or Hard of Hearing person pursuing CDI certification training. Scholarship applicants must be a full or student member of NAOBI-Atlanta and a resident of Georgia.
